Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Mar 13: JKP Daredevils registered resounding win over JKP Stars in the ongoing JKP Masters’ T20 Cricket Series for the senior Police officers, being organized jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department and KC Sports Club at the Club’s Indoor Hall, here. The Coordinators of the Championship are Dr Sunil Gupta SSP Jammu, Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Arjun Choudhary Director KC Sports Indoor Complex and Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer NHRC Jammu, while the event is being organized under the overall supervision of Danish Rana, IGP Jammu,. “The objective of the Championship is to make Police Officers recreate through sports activities,” informed Rajesh Gill. Earlier, JKP Daredevils’ Captain, Danish Rana won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, JKP Daredevils scored 66 runs in 19.3 overs by losing 8 wickets. Rajesh Gill was the top scorer with 20 runs, while Amit Koul and Chandan Kohli contributed 11 and 9 runs runs respectively. For JKP Stars, Alok Puri took 1 wicket, while all other batsmen ran themselves out because of superb fielding. In reply, JKP Stars bundled out for 30 runs in 17.4 overs, thus lost the match by 36 runs. Alok Puri and Ashok Sharma were the main contributors with 9 and 8 runs respectively. For JKP Daredevils, Chandan Kohli and Sajjad Ahmed Salaria took 2 wickets each. Chandan Kohli was declared as man of the match. The match was officiated by Ajay Kumar, Shubam Singh and Touqeer.
