72nd All India Police Hockey C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 2: In the ongoing 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship organized by J&K Police, five matches in male and two matches in female categories were played here today.
In the first match of the day between SSB and Jammu and Kashmir Police, Jammu and Kashmir Police showed superb display of hockey and won the match by 3-1 goals. Satwant Singh scored the first goal, while the second and third goal was scored by Karanjit Singh. Player of the match was declared Karanjit Singh for his brilliant performance. Chief Guest of the match was Bhanu Pratap Singh Member J&K Sports Council.
In the second match played between Chandigarh and CISF, CISF emerged victorious by 6-0 goals. Player of the match was declared Ankit Singh for his brilliant performance while Chief Guest of the match was Rajni Sharma Deputy Commandant IRP-1st Battalion. In a match between Uttar Pradesh Police and Odisha Police, Uttar Pradesh Police won the match by 7-4 goal score. Player of the match was declared Anwar Shah for his brilliant performance. Chief Guest of the match was Rajinder Singh, Member Sports Council.
In another match between Rajasthan and ITBP, ITBP team won by 4-1 goal score. Player of the match was declared Gurvinder Singh for his brilliant performance of 4 goals in the match.
In the match between Himachal Pradesh Police and Punjab Police, the match was won by Punjab Police by 10-0 goal score. Hardeep Singh scored (1st, 5th & 8th goal), 2nd, 3rd & 7th goal scored by Varinder Singh and 4th goal scored by Kanwarjet Singh. 6th & 9th goal scored by Sarbjit while 10th goal scored by Simranjit Singh. Player of the match was declared Varinder Singh for his brilliant performance. Chief Guest of the Match was Zaffar Iqbal, CSO J&K Sports Council.
In the first women category match of the day between Haryana Police CRPF, the match was won by CRPF women team by 7-0 goal score. Supriya Mundu scored (1st goal), 2nd goal scored by Pinki Ekka, 3rd goal scored by Sushma Kumari, 4th & 5th goal scored by Yashika Negi, 6th goal scored by Pricilla Tirkey, 7th goal scored by Parmilla Soreng. Player of the match was declared Yashika Negi for her brilliant performance. Chief Guest was Krupali, Arjuna Awardee.
In the second match of the day between Gujarat and Odisha. The match was won by Odisha by 6-0 goal score. Elin Lakra scored 1st goal and 3rd goal, 2nd and 4th goal scored by Pratama Toppo , 5th goal scored by Ambika Toppo Raghavi and 6th goal scored by Elima Minz. Player of the match was Priyanka Ekka for her brilliant performance in the match.
