JKP, Kanpur in finals of 4th Guru Hargobind Sahib Tourney

SRINAGAR, Sept 5: The 4th Guru Hargobind Sahib Memorial Hockey Tournament, hosted at Polo Ground Hockey Astroturf in Srinagar, has set the stage for an exciting final as J&K Police and Kanpur Hockey teams advanced after winning their semi-final matches.
In the first semi-final, J&K Police demonstrated their prowess by defeating Rampur Hockey Club (UP) with an impressive 6-0 scoreline. The match was attended by S. Balvinder Singh, vice president DGPC Jammu, as the chief guest, with Jaspal Singh, president GPC Srinagar, and Gurmit Singh, treasurer GPC, serving as guests of honour.
The second semi-final saw Kanpur Hockey Club outplayed Poonch Hockey Club with a dominant 6-1 victory. Sarbjit Singh, Jt. Secretary J&K Board of School Education, and Iqbal Singh, former hockey player, were the chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.
The tournament, organized by Kashmir Hockey Academy in collaboration with J&K Sports Council, will culminate after final match between J&K Police and Kanpur Hockey at 4:30 pm. Olympian Ajit Pal Singh will be the chief guest for the final.
