JKP Masters’ T20 Cricket Series gets underway at KCSC

JAMMU, Feb 28: JKP Masters’ T20 Cricket Series for the Senior Police Officers, being organized jointly  by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department and KC Sports Club got underway at  KC Sports Club here today.
The Coordinators of the JKP Masters’ T20 Championship are Uttam Chand SSP Jammu, Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Arjun Choudhary Director KC Sports Indoor Complex and Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer NHRC Jammu. And the event is being organized under the overall Supervision of Danish Rana IGP Jammu,.
“The objective for conducting this   three matches cricket series on Sundays for the Police Officers is for recreational  purposes”, Rajesh Gill, Coordinator of the event informed.
Earlier, Alok Puri IGP Vigilance Jammu inaugurated the tournament in an impressive and colourful function. While speaking on the occasion, IGP  Alok Puri lauded the efforts of the Coordinators  in conducting this cricket event for all aPolice Offices.He also thanked Arjun Choudhary  Managing Director KC Indoor Complex for helping Police department in conducting the said event and providing all available indoor cricket facilities.
JKP Stars Captain Alok Puri won the toss and elected bowl first.
JKP Dare Devils scored 59 runs in 17.2 overs by losing 7 wickets  in which Rajesh Gill  , Pawan Parihar and Rajeev Pandey were the main scorers with  24,16,10 runs respectively. From the bowling side SS Kotwal took 2 wickets while Alok Puri and Akshay shared 1 wicket .
In reply, JKP Stars chased the target in 17.5 overs for the loss of six wickets. Akshay Khujuria, Ranjeet Singh and Alok Puri contributed 19,10 and 7 runs to the total. From JKP Dare Devils Pawan Parihar, Ashok Sharma, Rajesh Gill and Jagpal Sharma shared one wicket each. Akshay was declared as man of the match.
From KC Sports Club side present on the occasion are Dr.Ram Thakur,Sanjeev Sharma . The match were officiated by Ajay Kumar and Touqeer whereas the Proceedings and Comentary conducted by RP Singh.
