JKP scripts narrow win over KCSC in JKPL T20 Tourney

JAMMU, Mar 10: JKP XI registered a narrow 2 wickets win over KC Sports Club to advance into the next round of the Jammu and Kashmir Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, KCSC scored a fighting total of 137 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Amrit Singh top scored with 28 runs, while Ateev Sini and Abhishant Bakshi contributed 26 runs each. For JKP XI, Ambrose and Monu took 2 wickets each, while Nishu and Shamsher claimed one wicket each.
In reply, JKP chased the target in 19.4 overs by losing 8 wickets to win the match by 2 wickets. Sunny was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Vishal played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 28 runs and Farooq contributed 22 runs to the total. Aman, Vivek and Mohit claimed 2 wickets each for KCSC. Vishal Singh Bhau was declared man of the match for his match winning innings.
The match was officiated by Sohail Yousuf, Anil Kumar and Rahul Bhal.
In tomorrow’s fixture, KCC will take on Malik Cricket Club and Wave XI will lock horns with Evershine XI.
