JAMMU, Jan 21: The winter capital is all set to witness clash of champions as Jammu and Kashmir Police is hosting 72nd edition of All India Police Hockey Championship in Men and Women categories here from January 29.
An official on Sunday said that the Jammu and Kashmir Police is hosting All India Police Hockey Championship in Men and Women categories from January 29 to February 8 at K K Hakhu Astro Turf Hockey Stadium. “As many as 33 teams comprising 24 of Men and nine of Women have confirmed their participation,” he said. He added that around 750 participants including supporting staff will be sweating hard during the 10-day long event.
Technical officials from Hockey Federation of India and Hockey Association of J&K will be officiating, he said adding, “opening ceremony will take place on January 30 at K K Hakku Hockey Stadium.” “All arrangements are in place and being host, we will be making this event a grand success,” said an official.
