JKP wrestler Benia Min wins Domana Dangal title

REASI, Oct 27: Wrestler Benia Min of J&K Police clinched the 22nd Annual Domana Dangal title by defeating wrestler Binni of Haryana in a tough bout that lasted for 22 minutes here today.
The mega historic and famous one day wrestling event was organized by Domana Dangal committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Raj Hussain, President Domana Dangal Committee, ex Sarpanch Shamsher Singh and Madan Lal, ex.Sarpanch.
In all 137 bouts were played in a day long Dangal and cash prize Rs. 7.90 lakhs was distributed among the winners and runner-up wrestlers. SDPO Vishal Shoor was the chief guest on the occasion. Former Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma along with Rajan Singh (Happy) ex. President Yuva Rajput Sabha, SHO Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal were the guests of honour.
First main bout winner Benia Min was awarded with cash award of Rs 61,000/-while runner up wrestler Binni got Rs 40,000. Another first malli bout was won by Ravi Vehra of Punjab who defeated Rahul Rathi of Patiala (Punjab). Winner wrestler Ravi Vehra got Rs 61,000 while runner-up wrestler Rahul Rathi got Rs. 40,000.
The 2nd malli bout was won by Abdul Gani of Mallerkotla (Punjab) who defeated Navdeep of Delhi. Winner Gani got Rs 51,000 while runner up Navdeep got Rs 30,000.
Raj Hussain (President), Ex. Sarpanch Shamsher Singh, Vijay Singh Slathia, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Kuni Ram Subedar, Madan Lal Ex. Sarpanch, Subash Singh (Naib Sarpanch) and Sunny Sharma were among the Dangal Committee members who helped in conducting the event.
