JKP Wrestler Ishaq lifts 16th Sarna Dangal title

REASI, June 21: Wrestler Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of J&K Police  lifted ‘16th annual Dangal title 2024 by defeating wrestler Abhinayak  of UP in the first malli bout that lasted for 8 minutes at village  Sarna in this district today.
Winner of 1st malli bout wrestler Ishaq Ahmed was awarded with cash  prize of Rs 41,000 while runner-up  wrestler Abhinayak got Rs 30,000. BJP District Reasi President and social activist  Rohit Dubey  was chief guest who gave away the  cash prizes  among the  wrestlers. He also contributed  Rs 31,000 as financial assistance to  the organizers.
The 2nd malli bout was won by Wrestler Surjit Singh of J&K Police, resident of Reasi who defeated wrestler Usman  of Mathura (UP). The winner  Surjit Singh was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 18,000 while runner-up Usman got Rs 13,000. The 3rd malli bout was won by Nadeem of  J&K Police of Doda  who defeated Munish of Khanna in  Punjab. Winner Wrestler Nadeem was awarded with a cash prize of Rs15,000 while runner-up wrestler  Munsish got Rs 10,000. Another 3rd malli bout was won by Maam Hussain of Domel who defeated Chandi of Maharashtra, Maam Hussain was awarded with cash prize of Rs 12,000 while runner-up wrestler Chandi got Rs 9,000. One hundred six (106) wrestlers participated in the one day long dangal in which 53 bouts were played and an amount of Rs 3,70,000 was distributed in the shape of  cash prizes.
The bouts were officiated by Mohd Sharif, Rajinder Kumar Ramotra, Harbans Lal, Raj Singh, Tulinder Kumar, proceedings were conducted by Sunny Sharma,   Pawan Singh and Anil Kumar of Reasi.
Other results were Shaker Noor of  Merrut  who beat Ankush of Delhi, Arjun of Jammu beat  Jai Bhagwan of Delhi, Murad Ali of Jatti beat  Javed of UP, Dillar of J&K Police beat Neeru Gujjar of BSF Chandigarh and Billu of Panj Grian  beat Sandesh of Delhi. Bouts played between Kharpu of  Jammu and Salman  Ali of Delhi ended in a draw.
