JKP XI thrashes FCC by 158 runs

JAMMU, Apr 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police XI crushes FCC by a huge margin of 158 runs to advance in the ongoing 2nd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Cricket Club at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, JKP XI scored a mammoth total of 199 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Farooq top scored with 69 runs off 35 balls, studded with 7 fours and 3 sixes, while skipper Rajesh Gill contributed 44 runs off 27 balls with the help of 6 boundaries and one six. Avinash Singh Jamwal and Naresh Kumar also chipped in with 34 and 29 runs respectively. For FCC, Ashish, Ankur and KK claimed one wicket each.
In reply, FCC collapsed at 41 runs in 8.1 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 158 runs. Jimmy and KK scored 15 runs each, while Ashish chipped in with 10 runs. For JKP XI, Anshuman was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 3 important wickets by conceding 16 runs in his 4 overs. Saqib bagged 2 wickets, while Vishal Singh Bhau and Rompy Sharma claimed one wicket each. Farooq was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant knock.
The match was officiated by Sandeep Manchanda and Suhail Yousuf as umpires, while Bunty Kumar was the scorer.
RCC Srinagar will take on Shinning Cricket Club at 8 am tomorrow, while Samar Cricket Club will take on Bhagwati CC Katra at 1 pm tomorrow.
