JKP XI to take on VCC in summit clash today

JAMMU, Nov 15: JKP XI will take on Vishal Cricket Club (VCC) in the finals of the Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department in collaboration with Simula Software at MA Stadium, tomorrow.
Earlier, during the first semis, JKP XI drubbed Ishar XI by 21 runs.
Batting first, after winning the toss, JKP XI scored 153 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Jatin was the top scorer with 58 runs in 33 balls, while Amit and Skipper Rajesh Gill also contributed 24 and 22 runs respectively to the total.
For Ishar XI side, Paras scalped 2 wickets while, Vishwajeet, Pavit and Amritpal Singh claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Ishar XI, failed to chase thew target and bundled out at 132 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Sahil Gupta was the top scorer with 37 runs including 2 fours, while, Shubam Khajuria and Deepak Bawa scored 24 and 22 runs respectively.
For JKP XI, Amir was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 wickets, whereas, Dilbag also took 3 wickets. Ashwani and Vishal also shared one wicket each.
Amir Aziz of JKP XI was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant performance.
In the second semifinal match, Vishal Cricket Club (VCC) registered 7 wickets victory over Simula Cricket XI.
After winning the toss, Simula XI elected to bat first and scored 107 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Bandeep was the main scorer with 32 runs including four balls towards the fence and one six, while Dhruv and Shashu also contributed 15 and 13 runs respectively.
For VCC side, Prashant scalped 3 wickets, while, Bansi Lal, Kaka and Varun took 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, VCC chased the target easily in just 16.4 overs for loss of just 3 wickets. Bansi Lal scored 54 runs including 6 fours, while, Ravi and Avinash also chipped in 22 and 9 runs to the total.
Bansi Lal of Vishal Cricket Club (VCC) was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Sudhir, Sadiq, Suhail and JD Singh as umpires, while Yogesh maintained the scoreboard.
