RAMBAN, Mar 13: JKP-XI won the first Intra-District Hamdard Premier League T20 tournament title by defeating Aryans’ Club Banihal (ACB) by 5 wickets and lifted the cash prize of Rs 40000, organised at District Police Lines, here today.
Batting first, ACB scored 137 in 19.1 overs with the help of Imran’s 31 runs. From the bowling side, Rab Nawaz Sheikh took 4 wickets.
In reply, the JKP-XI chased the target in 18 overs wherein Rab Nawaz Sheikh contributed 42 runs. For ACB, Rais Ahmed took 2 wickets. Rab Nawaz Sheikh was declared as man of the match. Amir Wani of Chanderkot CC was declared as man of the series, while Shiv Dutt of JKP-XI got best batsman award and Yasir Rather was bestowed with best bowler award.
DDC Member, Renuka Katoch was the chief guest who gave away the trophies and prizes to the winners, runners-up and outstanding players.
The tournament was organized by a local NGO-Hamdard, while District police and other organisations sponsored the tournament.
