This refers to the article ‘A take on JKPSC recruitment process’ DE June 8.
The author has highlighted the process of recruitment, and the problems being faced by aspirants in a candid manner. It reveals that the recruitment process is not as smooth and transparent as it should have been since it pertains to career of the student community.
The PSC draws flak from different quarters every time it brings out ‘selected lists’ for one reason or the other. There are allegations against it of indulging in favouritism and regionalism. This supreme recruitment making body will lose its sheen and prestige in case it gets caught in controversies day in and day out. Aspirants have great faith in it, and expect that selection is made in a transparent manner.
The Public Service Commission must maintain this faith by taking steps that would ensure transparency and accountability.
