J&K’s 3 gritty gymnasts, ace coach selected for National Camp

JAMMU, July 30: Three gritty gymnasts namely Palak Kour, Mitali and Mridul Gupta have made the State of Jammu and Kashmir proud by being selected to undergo National Coaching Camp in Gymnastics for the preparation of forthcoming Commonwealth Games-2014 to be held at Scotland and Asian Games-2014 at South Korea.
Apart from this gutsy trio, Arjuna Awardee Krupali Singh of J & K State has also been named as coach to conduct this prestigious National Coaching Camp. The Camp would be concluding on September 29, 2013, after which the respective coaches would have to recommend the names of core probables for the succeeding camps towards preparation for the Commonwealth Games.
In Rhythmic Gymnastics, the selected gymnasts included Prabhjot Bajwa of Punjab, Mitali of J&K, Madhura Tambe of Mahrashtra, Anita Ramol of Uttrakhand, Sweksha of Madhya Pradesh, Palak Kour of J&K, Nishtha Shah of Maharashtra, Disha Nidre of Maharashtra, Mridul Gupta of J&K and Aditi of Maharashtra.
Krupali Singh of J&K and Neetu Bala of Punjab will be the coaches.
