JAMMU, Aug 30: Chandan Sharma of Jammu and Kashmir has been selected as a probable for 2nd Roll Ball World Cup to be held at Nairobi in Kenya from October 3, 2013 to October 8, 2013.
Around 50 players from across the Country participated in the selection trials, out of which 15 players have been short-listed including talented Chandan.
Chandan, who is a National Roll Ball player, has got the selectors’ nod for his superb skill and motor-ability. The final selection for the 12-member Indian team will be held on September 20, 2013 at Pune in Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, 7th Sub Junior Under-14 Boys Roll Ball Championship will be held from September 12 to September 15, 2013 at Pune in Maharashtra and the selection of the Jammu and Kashmir team will be held on September 1, 2013 at MA Stadium in Jammu.
According to a handout issued here, the Association has advised the players interested to take part in the trials to contact Rohit Charak and Arvin Deep Singh for further information.
