JAMMU, Sept 23: Surjit Choudhary (55), a Master Athlete of Jammu and Kashmir has brought laurels to the country by winning medals at an International level athletic competition.
The 35th Malaysian International Open Masters Athletics Championship was held between September 16 to 17 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in which Surjit won three medals including one gold, one silver and one bronze medal for India.
He won Gold medal in long jump (4.5 meter), Silver medal in triple jump (8.80 meter) and Bronze medal in 100 meter (13.73 seconds). In this championship there were athletes from 10 countries who participated and had tough competition among them.
