JAMMU, July 20: Defeating the pair of Sathwic Sama of Andhra Pradesh and Shivani Ingle of Maharashtra in a tough contest by (4-1, 3-5, 11-9) in the summit clash, the duo of National Champion, Prinkle Singh of Jammu and Kashmir and Aarja Chakarborty of Uttar Pradesh bagged the title trophy in the All India Oil AITA Super Series doubles event at Guwahati in Assam.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Prinkle-Aarja pair drubbed the duo of Harsimran Kaur of Haryana and Rutvi Shah of Gujarat in straight sets by (4-1, 4-0), while in quarterfinals and pre-quarterfinals, they defeated Vaidhei-Rutvi pair and Anushka-Harshita pair respectively.
Meanwhile, in Super Series Under-12 singles event, Prinkle Singh remained runners-up as she was defeated by Mahak Jain of Maharashtra in the title clash by (7-6, 6-1).
In singles semifinals, Prinkle trounced Ishika of West Bengal by (6-2, 6-2), while in quarterfinals earlier, Prinkle got better of Kiran of Delhi in straight sets by (6-0, 6-1).
