JAMMU, June 26: Talented young tennis player of Jammu and Kashmir, Sumitpal Singh entered the finals of TTPPA National Under-16 Boys Lawn Tennis Series in the doubles event at Chennai in Tamil Nadu today.
The duo of Sumitpal and Nitin Sinha of West Bengal defeated the pair of Mritunjly Bbadola of Dehradun and Sidharth Ponnalia of Andhra Pradesh by (6-1, 3-6, 10-8) in the semifinal to seal berth in the finals, while in the quarterfinals, the duo got better of the Gujarat pair of Kunj Kodak and Dhyan Shah..
Meanwhile, in the singles event, Sumitpal lost to Manish of Chennai in the quarterfinals.
