J&K’s Sunny Nanda to lead Indian Speed Ball team to Egypt

JAMMU, Oct 22: Adding one more achievement in the State’s sports profile, four Speed Ball players from Jammu and Kashmir will take part in 29th World Speed Ball championship to be held at Egypt, with ace player Sunny Nanda to lead the Indian team from October 25 to October 30, 2017.
Divisional Commissioner, M.K. Bhandari informed this during a press conference held  in this regard at Jammu Club, here today.
The Divisional Commissioner wished good luck and congratulated the players namely Sunny Nanda, Sahil Janjua, Rahul Meenia and Amit Kour for being selected in the 29th World Speed Ball Championship. He hoped that they will exhibit outstanding performance in the International sports event and bring laurels to the Nation and the State.
Fourteen players from different states of India are participating in this world championship.
Among others, members of Association including MLC Vikram Randhawa, Er S P Langer, V K Sharma, Er V K Gupta, Ravi Tikku, Nitish Mahajan, Ramma Mattoo, Jyoti Gupta, Bhavana Bhan and Savita Sethi were also present on the occasion. Vice Chairman District Jammu Sports Council, Ranjeet Kalra was also present on the occasion.
