JAMMU, Sept 8: Jammu and Kashmir’s fast bowler Yudhvir Singh Charak has been selected by the National Selection Committee, chaired by Ajit Agarkar, to join the Team India Camp as a net bowler for the upcoming Bangladesh Test Series. The series is set to begin on September 19, 2024, in Chennai. Yudhvir has been asked to join the squad on September 12.
Yudhvir’s impressive performances in the Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and the All India Buchi Babu Multi-day Invitational Cricket Tournament, organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), earned him this opportunity.
Expressing his gratitude, Yudhvir said, “I will leave no stone unturned to make the most of this opportunity. I’m thankful to BCCI and JKCA for their trust in me.”
Mithun Manhas, JKCA’s Member of Cricket Operations, praised Yudhvir, calling him a “special talent,” while Brigadier Anil Gupta and Sunil Sethi, also from JKCA, congratulated him on this achievement. Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, will face Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, with the first match taking place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.
