SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Jammu and Kashmir Swimming Association organized a Swimming Championship at Dal Lake in the memory of former General Secretary Late V.K. Sawhney where more than 150 swimmers participated.
The championship was inaugurated by Rajni Kumari Sawhney, General Secretary of the swimming Association in the presence of Ajay Sawhney, SHO Police Station Harwan, Mudasir Ahmad, Social Activist Jassm Muzaffar and many others were also present.
While announcing the prizes in boys wing, Javaid Ahmad, Sahil Shafi and Iniyat Nabi got first, second and third positions in Under 17 age and Junaid Shafi, Sahil Abbas Kanoo and Zahid Hussain secured first, second and third positions in Under 14, and in under-12; Waseem Abbas got first, Sadiq Ali got second and Ibrahim Imtiyaz got third position in the competition. Meanwhile, in girls Nabeela Khan got first position, Muntha 2nd and Zulikha Anjum 3rd rank.
