JKSC begins ‘Special Summer Activities’

JAMMU, July 16: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council inaugurated ‘Special Summer Activities’ My Youth My Pride programme at KK Hakku Stadium, here today in which Boys and Girls took part in Hockey matches.
Rajiv Sharma, Member of the J&K Sports Council, was the chief guest while Mohd. Haneef, Chief Sports Officer of the J&K Sports Council and Baljinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer were the guests of honour on this occasion. Shankar Tholmatti (Retd) Chief Hockey Coach of SAI was the special guest.
All the coaches, mentors from the J&K Sports Council, trainees, parents, and spectators were also present at the opening ceremony. Matches were played between Khelo India and Stadium XI. Stadium XI defeated the Khelo India boys’ team by 4-0. In the girls’ section, the Khelo India team defeated the Sahara Warrior Hockey Club by 1-0.
Cash prizes were distributed to the winning and runner-up teams by Rajiv Sharma. The umpires for matches were Anjali Thakur, KIC Hockey mentor, Saksham Sharma, Gargi, and Sonia, who served as the technical delegates. The matches were supervised by J&K Sports Council hockey coaches Dalvinder Singh and Jagjit Singh.
