JKTF holds meet

UDHAMPUR, Apr 29: A general body meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum (JKTF) held here under the chairmanship of Surinder Sharma, district president, discussed various problems of the teaching community.
The speakers demanded adjustment of newly promoted lecturers, headmasters and masters immediately as new session has already started and many schools were facing shortage of staff. They demanded implementation of transfer policy as assured by the Education Minister from time to time.
They also called for adjustment of teachers as per subject need by discarding pick and chose policy and adjusting male members in boys’ schools to keep proper discipline as also release of 8% DA installment in favour of employees.
The meeting also demanded updating the names of teachers and masters who have already been promoted as in-charge lecturers.
Others who spoke included Ram Parshad, Rajesh Sharma, Chaman Lal, Kewal Gupta, Sanjay Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Rajinder Kumar etc.
