JAMMU, Feb 8: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum organized a day long teachers conference at Teachers Bhawan, here today and discussed the issues confronting the stakeholders of School Education Department.
The conference was presided over Ganesh Khajuria and attended by the Central Executive Body members and others, who highlighted various issues and demands of the teachers.
The speakers proposed some reforms for the implementation of New Education Policy at grass root level to achieve the academic excellence.
Ganesh Khajuria, Chairman JKTF and Mohd Akbar Khan, President JKTF, advised the leaders of the Forum to put up their extra teaching skills to improve the learning environment in the schools for those students who do not have the sufficient sources to carry on the online classes.
Mohd Akbar Khan said that bureaucratic circles and influential’s should take the imitative of adopting certain schools within their domain and this will encourage other people to adopt same initiative.
Ganesh Khajuria urged the cadre to strengthen the Forum at all levels to mitigate the genuine grievances of the teaching fraternity.
All the leaders in the conference urged the Government to resolve the issues like filling up of vacant posts of all cadres in the department, regularization of the pending cases of ReTs, regularization of Lecturers, HMs, ZEOs, Principals and others, removal of pay anomalies, UT grade to all cadres of teachers etc.
On the occasion, a several senior trade unionists joined JKTF. They included Ishaq Rashid Malik.
Among those, who attended the conference, included Akbar Khan, surat Singh Toofani, Mohd Shafi Rather, Darshan Sharma, Arsalan Habib. Kapil Sagotra, Jamat Ali and others.
