JAMMU, May 29: The Taekwondo Association of Jammu & Kashmir will be organizingJK-UT Taekwondo Championship 2024, set to take place on June 7 & 8 at Baby Caterer, Rehari Jammu. This prestigious event is expected to witness the participation of over 250 Athletes from across Jammu and Kashmir, including competitors from seven districts of the Kashmir Division.
The Championship promises to be a showcase of exceptional talent and rigorous competition, with athletes competing in various weight categories within the Junior Division (ages 15 to 17) and Senior Division (ages 17 and above) for both Kyorugi and Pumsae events.
According to Quimti Lal Jain, General Secretary of the Taekwondo Association of J&K, the selection process for participation in the National championship will be finalized during the event. The successful medalists will represent Jammu and Kashmir at the forthcoming 3rd Junior National (Kyorugi & Pumsae) and 3rd Senior National Pumsae Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to be held in Cuttack, Odisha from June 28 to 30, 2024.
