JKWDC organises 10-day exhibition at Jaipur

JAMMU, Dec 30: In an endeavour to provide marketing support to its beneficiaries, the Jammu Kashmir Women Development Corporation (JKWDC) organised a 10 day exhibition at Jaipur enabling the loanees earn Rs. 12.50 lakh from sale of their products.
“Such efforts not only provide an opportunity to the beneficiaries raise their socio-economic profile but play a significant role in promoting the traditional and cultural uniqueness of our state”, said Managing Director JKWDC, Naheed Soz, who inaugurated the exhibition.
The event was sponsored by National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation, Ministry for Minority Affairs which was attended by 80 beneficiaries financed under NMDFC drawn from Paddar, Thanamandi, Vijaypur, Hiranagar, Kathua, Mahore, Bhaderwah, Doru, Khull Noorabad, Chadoora, Handwara, Kangan, Sumlar, Shadimarg, Qazigund, Banihal, Ramnagar, Udhampur etc.
The products exhibited and sold were Kashmiri handmade shawls, suits, sozni and crewel items, paper machie, jute items besides other special traditional products of the State.
