JAMMU, June 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Prof. Youdhvir Singh of Ward number 73 here today inaugurated toilet/bathroom complex at village Chak Sardar Atter Singh in Phallain Mandal area.
The toilet/bathroom complex was a long pending demand of the area as there was no place for women to take bath after performing rites in case of death of some relative.
Construction of the toilet/bathroom complex incurred an expenditure of Rs. three lakh.
A large number of locals to the area were present on the occasion and demanded that the toilet/bathroom complex should be refurbished with good quality tiles and there should be benches at the complex for sitting purpose.
The JMC Councillor accepted the demands and directed the accompanying engineering wing officers of JMC to prepare estimate for the same so that the same might be worked upon.
Mani Ram, Charan Dass, Hans Raj, Dalbir Singh Saini, Jagdish Raj, Kulbhushan Singh Bhau, AEE; Rajjat Chib, JE and Ram Paul, Contractor along with others were also present on the occasion.
