JAMMU, Apr 26: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today demolished the shop raised illegally in Sainik Colony and also sealed a showroom in Gandhi Nagar.
The enforcement staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer demolished the shop of Surinder Singh, son of Kora Singh at Extension CS 29/3, Sainik Colony, which was constructed unauthorizedly without seeking the building permission from the JMC.
The team also sealed the showroom opened at 783-A, Gandhi Nagar in violation of the land use of the area from residential to commercial one. The team also removed the encroachment by demolishing a pacca platform in front of shops at Sector No. 3, Sanjay Nagar, which was raised by encroaching part of road.
During the drive, the enforcement staff was assisted by police party from Channi Himmat Police Station, Police Post Sainik Colony and personnel from District Police Lines (DPL).
