JAMMU, Mar 12: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed a premises in Gandhi Nagar area for violation of the land use.
Under instructions from Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jammu, KL Khajuria, the enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer, sealed the premises of one Sanjay Gupta, son of Govind Gupta at 775-A, Gandhi Nagar, for violation of land use under Section 8(1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1998.
The accused had started the interior work in the ground floor of the said building to open a showroom.
Moreover, the team undertook an anti-encroachment drive in Gandhi Nagar area and seized goods and articles, which were kept by the shopkeepers or vendors on footpaths, pavements and roadsides, causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and obstructing free movement of vehicular traffic.
The drive was conducted with the help of Police Force from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and District Police Lines.
