JAMMU, Jan 23: On the directions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Avny Lavasa, JMC Enforcement teams under the supervision of Joint Commis-sioner (Administration) sealed three illegal structures.
A handout of the JMC stated that a building of one Mohan Lal at Channi Himmat was constructed by violating the building permission wherein the stilt parking meant for parking was converted into a basement for commercial purpose.
Similarly, one Vijay Kumar Gupta has raised two additional floors on his shop at Raghunath Bazar on the pretext of repairs. Moreover, in complete defence to the sealing of his premises, he broke open the seal in his premises leading to JMC lodging an FIR against him.
In yet another case, the illegally raised house of Shabir Ahmed at Hanuman Wali Gali, Pacca Danga was also sealed by JMC.
JMC has appealed to the general public to refrain from making illegal constructions and get building plans approved as per building norms and contribute towards regulated and planned city development.
