Jodhamal lifts Matushri Inter-School Debate Trophy

JAMMU, Feb 12: Young debaters of Jodhamal School, who made a landmark victory by winning the 4th Matushree Inter-school Debate running trophy for the third consecutive year. The debate was held under the aegis of Dogra Law College and the topic was “Does India need a shift towards Presidential form of Government”?
About 25 participants from difference schools of the Jammu District participated in the contest, wherein Harsimar Kour won first prize and Ananya Sharma bagged consolation prize and the running trophy for Jodhamal School.
The chief guest, Prof Desh Bandhu, Director Colleges Development Council, University of Jammu, appreciated the participants for preparing themselves for such a big contest.
He said these kind of debates not only enrich the power of reasoning, but also sharpen mind of the young students.
The School Principal, Trilok Singh Bist and the School Management felicitated the students in a special assembly for this landmark victory and also give a pat to Radhika Sharma, PGT (English) of Jodhamal School for preparing the students for this debate.
