JAMMU, Nov 24: Jodhamal Public School here today celebrated its 20th Annual Day and prize-giving ceremony.
Chief guest for the event was Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, J&K.
Guest of honour was Ansuya Jamwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu while other distinguished dignitaries including Ch. Vikram Randhawa, MLA and Arun Kumar Manhas, Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu were also present on the occasion.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp followed by a welcome address by Head Boy, Navaj Kunal Anand and this was followed by a captivating Invocation Dance.
Principal of the School, Girish Kumar presented the Annual Report of the academic year 2023-24.
He announced that Jodhamal Public School has been ranked 28th Pan-India in India’s Best Co-Ed Day Schools and has secured the top rank in J&K across all categories in India School Rankings 2024-25 by C-Fore and Brainfeed Magazine.
“Remarkably, the school retained its position as the Top Co-Educational Day School in J&K for the 10th consecutive year, as per the Education World Magazine,” he maintained.
The Principal also shared excellent CBSE results of the School for the Academic Year 2023-24 and highlighted several remarkable achievements.
He said that Jodhamal is the only school in India where students secured one British patent and four Indian patents for their innovations within a single academic year.
The Principal also celebrated literary accomplishments of 177 Jodhamal’s young authors, whose published works are now available online.
School Trustee, Nandan Kuthiala commended the collective efforts of Team Jodhamal in making the event a resounding success, emphasizing the theme of ‘Synergy and Collective Brilliance.’
The Army and Navy cadets of the NCC extended a ceremonial greeting to the esteemed guests.
A standout moment was the play ‘Ripple Effect – Waves of Change’.
The event also featured the unveiling of Jodhamal Reels 2024 and behind-the-scenes videos, highlighting the unceasing efforts of the team.
The main awards were received by the School’s Head Boy, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, Academic Prefects and CCA Prefects.
The Annual Sports Trophy was awarded to Challenge House, the CCA Trophy to Challenge House, the Academic Trophy to Challenge House and the Overall Trophy was also bagged by Challenge House.
The celebrations concluded on a high note, with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by the CCA Prefect, Devisha Gour.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of National Anthem.
