Jodhamal Public School wins Quiz competition

JAMMU, Nov 9: Jodhamal Public School won the City Finals round of Pearson National School Quiz competition held today in Banyan International School, Jammu.
The team won the first round and will be representing the region for the nation-wide series of the prestigious competition to be held across 11 cities in the month of November, followed by a semi- final and grand finale round which would be organized at Bangalore, in December 2015.
MasterAbhilav and Master Dhananjay, class 8th of Jodhamal Public School comprised the winning team. 54of the best teams from across Jammu congregated to compete for the title 8 teams qualified for the city level rounds.
The competition aimed at creating an opportunity for students to showcase their talent at a national platform featured a perfect amalgamation of individual competition and team collaboration.
The format of the quiz was structured in a manner that not only tests the knowledge of students but also requires them to apply sophisticated team tactics. The students engaged in an intellectual battle throughout the quiz. It acted as the perfect platform for students to learn the importance of fostering team spirit and indulging in healthy competition.
Pitting their wit and knowledge against teams from KC International,  St. Peters, Jodhamal Public School, KC Public School, Banyan International Schools and Jodhamal Public School, to name a few, the students from Jodhamal Public School sustained momentum till the end eventually attaining the City Finals title. The team scored the highest points in the quiz and answered questions in the shortest span of time.
The winning team was honored by Ramesh, Principal of Banyan International School.
