JAMMU, May 13: Jodhamal Public School in association with Ashoka University, also known as Harvard of India, held an interactive worship-cum-career conclave for students of Classes XI and XII.
The event was inaugurated by Trilok Singh Bist, Principal Jodhamal Public School along with Sandeep Saraswat from Ashoka University and Narayni Sibbal from New Delhi.
More than 350 students from almost 15 schools across Jammu participated in this session, so as to understand the unconventional career options awaiting them.
The programme included talk by experts on various careers like designing, commerce related careers, defence, careers in science and making the students aware about options to study abroad.
The counselling session focused on introducing career options related to all the streams that are being offered in various schools and colleges. The students participated enthusiastically and gathered information from the experts.
With a strong emphasis on the Commerce and Humanities, Sandeep Saraswat, an eminent Ashoka educationist percolated a liberal and collaborating mindset, exposing students to cutting-edge research and practices so as to ensure utmost competence in their chosen fields.
After the counselling session, Sandeep interacted with the students and answered their questions.
Trilok Singh Bist Principal Jodhamal also sensitized the students to learn to take their decisions of course in consultation with their parents and teachers but should not accept the parental verdict which may harm them in later life if it is not reasonable as per their calibre or competence.
