Jodhamal School holds ISA activity

JAMMU, Dec 22: An activity of International School Award (ISA) was held at Jodhamal Public School on recently various chosen projects given by the British Council, helping the students in their intellectual growth through understanding international problems and seeking solutions for them.
It is pertinent to mention here that the British Council International School Award is an accreditation scheme for curriculum based international work in schools.
The scheme provides recognition for teachers and their schools working to instill a global dimension into the learning experience of all children and young people. The ISA supports schools to develop an international ethos embedded throughout the school. It also helps from a collaborative curriculum – based work with a number of partner schools. It encourages curriculum-based work across a range of subjects.
One such project “Eradicating Gender Discrimination through Education” was undertaken by the Project Leader Ranju Malhotra along with the team leaders – Swati Harjai, Sonia Mahajan, Jagmeet and Deepali Puri and with various students who prepared extensive reports and collected information for various projects assigned to them.
Through various presentations and exhibitions they displayed the information collected on the projects. These activities created awareness on eradication of gender discrimination and women empowerment and helped the students to develop their capabilities to meet the global challenges.
