JAMMU, Aug 30: Jodhamal Public School hosted a programme here today to induct the new Student Council for the academic year. The event was graced by chief guest Garib Dass, Director of SK Police Academy, Udhampur, along with proud parents and school dignitaries.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, followed by a captivating Tarana performance by the students. A sapling was presented to the chief guest as a gesture of respect.
During the ceremony, 41 newly elected prefects, including Head Boy Navaj Kunal Anand and Head Girl Aadya Sambyal, received their badges and sashes. Principal, Girish Kumar, administered the oath of office, encouraging the prefects to lead by example and uphold the School’s values.
Chief guest, Garib Dass, addressed the gathering, emphasizing leadership, integrity, and the importance of making wise choices. He urged the students to strive for excellence and contribute positively to society. The event also featured a special recognition for Team Apex, who won the F1 in Schools National Championship, highlighting their dedication and achievements.
The ceremony concluded with a pledge by all Council Members to uphold the school’s values, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Vice Principal Amita Arora delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for making the event a grand success.
