JAMMU, Feb 5: A student of Jodhamal Public School announced that Al Hana Babar, a creative and innovative Class 12th student has been granted a patent by the Government of India for her groundbreaking invention in the field of handicrafts and textile logistics management.
Al Hana’s device integrates cutting-edge technologies such as Blockchain, IoT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) to revolutionize the textile industry’s logistical processes and addresses problems like counterfeiting, transparency and pilferage when handicrafts of India are manufactured in villages and transported to cities in India and internationally.
Her design invention addresses key challenges in the handicrafts and textile supply chain, offering a sophisticated solution that enhances efficiency, transparency, and overall management.
The patent acknowledges her remarkable ingenuity and the potential impact her device could have on the handicrafts textile industry and has a meaningful application in the Handicrafts industry of Jammu and Kashmir. Al Hana became the second student of Jodhamal School to have bagged a patent for her ‘out of the box’ prototype in the Academic Year 2023-24.
Al Hana Babar is also a TEDx Speaker and a TEDx Organizer and runs a campaign titled ‘Her Dream Her Code’ for young girls across Jammu and Kashmir where she teaches young girls science experiments and drumming.
