JAMMU, Jan 17: Students of Jodhamal Public School  represented Jammu and Kashmir in the recently held 9th National Matsogi-Do Championship at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Bhawana in Delhi.
Around 500 players drawn from 20 States and Union Territories of the Country participated in the event.
Jodhamal students won 34 medals with 12 gold, 3 silver and 19 bronze.
Some of these winners are likely to participate in an International Meet which is going to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in June, 2014.
The gold Medal winners included Nikunj Langer, Mehak Gupta, Aditi Sharma, Ansh Gupta (2 gold), Akshit Sharma (2 gold), Vasu Sharma (2 gold), Anirudh Thakur (2 gold) and Avichal Rampal.
Silver medal winners included Snower Malik, Tarishi Gupta, Ahmed Ziya, while bronze medals went to Shivansh Sharma, Shruti Suri, Nitya Bhagat (2 bronze), Simran Khajuria, Sadhvi Sharma, Janvi Mahajan (2 bronze), Kanwarpal Singh, Aditi Sharma, Tarishi Gupta, Atharav Anand, Priyanshi Khuda (2 bronze), Akshit Sharma, Amrit Harshraj, Ayushman Pandita, Ahmed Ziya and Avichal Rampal.
The students brought laurels under the mentorship of Vishal Samrat and Veenu Samrat.
The School Principal, Trilok Singh Bist felicitated all the medal winners and applauded them for their achievement.
