JAMMU, Aug 28: The Jodhamal Youth Conclave 2024, a three-day intellectual event, concluded with a grand valedictory function. Popularly known as JYC ’24, this annual event brought together over 300 teenage student leaders from across the region and beyond to discuss, deliberate, and debate various national and international issues. The event aimed to enhance the global perspectives of these young minds and foster a deeper understanding of geopolitics.
Chief guest at the valedictory function was Prof. Alka Sharma, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies and Director of the Skill Incubation, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Development Centre at the University of Jammu. Her presence added prestige to the event, which marked its seventh edition this year.
Several prominent schools participated in the event. Each committee engaged in rigorous debates, dissecting their respective agendas with great enthusiasm. Despite the day’s intellectual demands, students found time to unwind during organized social events, fostering camaraderie among participants.
The winners of JYC ’24 were announced during the valedictory function. In the Lok Sabha Committee, Ayaan Manhas won the Best Delegate Award, while Suhaas Koul from KC Public School received the Outstanding Delegate Award. The ICIJSC Committee saw Sargam Mahajan from DPS Udhampur take home the Best Delegate Award, and Aayan Singh from KC International School won the Best Delegate Award in the SPECPOL Committee.
