JAMMU, Aug 26: The 6th Edition of Jodhamal Youth Conclave (JYC) commenced here today in the school campus. In the three days long conclave best schools simulate the United Nations and discuss various agenda in multiple committees.
More than 300 delegates from 10 schools are attending this three day long Conclave. The participating schools are Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer, Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, K C Public School, Jammu, G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, K C International School, Jammu, Jammu Sanskriti School, IDPS, Jammu and Delhi Public School, Udhampur.
Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu was the chief guest and she was accompanied by Director, Internal Quality Assurance, University of Jammu.
The Directorate of Jodhamal Youth Conclave comprises Aarya Mahajan, Secretary General, Aditya Kumar,Deputy Secretary General, Akaisha Handa and Varalika Sharma, USG Outreach, Anish Arora USG Logistics, Vanshika Gupta, USG Delegate Affairs, Ira Chandran, USG Communication, Hussain Areeb, USG Media, and Saksham Bhagat, USG Photography.
The colourful JYC-Newsletter was also released during the occasion. Since it is a student-driven activity, all the students worked diligently to make it a successful event under the mentorship of the Conference Director, Deepmala and teachers Mubeen Butt, Anjali Mahajan, Pooja Sharma and Raghunandan.
The three day conclave will witness rounds of vigorous debates, discussions and diplomacy across all Committees and will conclude with a very elaborate Prize Giving Ceremony.
