JAMMU, Sept 17: Harmanjot Singh, a brilliant young researcher from Jodhamal Public School, Jammu, has achieved global recognition by winning the “Best Conference Paper Award” at the 7th IEEE International Conference on Knowledge Innovation and Invention (ICKII 2024) held in Nagoya, Japan. His paper, titled “Hyperbolic Distance Optimization Algorithm for Orbital Trajectories,” was selected as the best among numerous international submissions. The research focuses on groundbreaking optimization models in hyperbolic geometry, specifically applied to orbital trajectories, a critical area in space exploration and computational sciences.
Harmanjot has been dedicated to this innovative research for two years, having previously published his first paper, “Transcendental Equations for Nonlinear Optimization in Hyperbolic Space,” in the prestigious MDPI Engineering Proceedings. His work has already been presented at the IEEE 5th Eurasia Conference on IoT, Communication, and Engineering in Taiwan, and he was invited as a speaker by the American Mathematical Society at the Joint Mathematics Meetings 2024 in San Francisco.
A recipient of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, Harmanjot continues to inspire young scientists with his relentless pursuit of excellence. The leadership at Jodhamal Public School, including Trustee Nandan Kuthiala and Principal Girish Kumar praised his achievements and expressed confidence in his future success.
