LOS ANGELES, May 31: Singer John Legend has sent out a heartwarming message to the parents of one of the victims of Manchester attack, Olivia Campbell.
The 38-year-old musician gave a video message to Olivia’s (15) aggrieved family, who was killed when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device just after singer Ariana Grande’s concert on May 22, reported Entertainment Weekly.
“I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through. I have a young daughter and I can’t imagine the feeling you must be going through right now to have to bury your own daughter,” Legend said while addressing Charlotte Campbell and Paul Hodgson on “Good Morning Britain”.
The singer, who was one of the slain teen’s favourites, added he was thankful to the family for playing his hit number “All Of Me” at Olivia’s memorial service.
“I want to thank you for playing the song and letting you know that I was so moved by your daughter’s performance of the song and I want to send you as much love as I can send you from far away, and as much sympathy and condolences I can send you…” Legend said.
He added that the message will not make up for their loss but “any love that we can send you we want to send you right now”.
Olivia was among the 22 people who died in the attack, which injured over 116.
Grande, who suspended her Dangerous Woman Tour in the wake of the attack, announced last week that she will soon return to Manchester for a benefit concert. (PTI)
