JPS students claim 26 medals in State Mastogi-Do C’ship

JAMMU, Nov 16: Students of Jodhamal Public School have once again proved their mettle by winning the 8 gold, 6 Silver and 12 Bronze medals in 11th State Mastogi-Do Championship held recently at MA Stadium.
After securing medals, now 15 students will represent J&K in the 8th Mastogi-Do Nationals Championship to be held in December at Sholapur, Maharashtra.
In a special assembly today, Principal Trilok Singh Bist felicitated these 26 students who brought laurels to the school.
Nikunj Langer, Nityam, Dhwani Pathania, Aditi, Ashita Arora, Vasu Sharma, Akshit and Anirudh Thakur grabbed Gold medals, whereas, Aman Gupta, Farhan, Shruti Suri, Tarish, Priyansh and Avichal Rajput clinched silver medals. The bronze medals were bagged Utkarsh, Shivansh, Nikunj, Prachi, Mehak, Suryansh Dev, Ansh, Naman, Jyotirmay,  Mohit, Aayush Sawhney and Sparshdeep Singh.
While speaking, Principal of the school, Trilok Singh Bist, congratulated the medal winners. He also threw light on the importance of sports and impressed upon the students to participate in the sports activities, to keep their body mentally and physically fit.
Vice Principal impressed upon the students to be part of the sports activities for all round development of the body.
The students participated in the championship under the supervision of Vishal Samrat, coach.
