JAMMU, Apr 4: Speaker Mubarak Gul today approved the proposal of Minister for Revenue Aijaz Ahmad Khan for setting up a Joint Select Committee (JSC) on agriculture land reforms bill.
Making the plea in the Assembly, Mr Khan said a Select Committee had been set up on the bill but despite three extensions, it has not reached a conclusion.
“It’s an important bill and I urge you to set up a JSC on it,’’ Mr Khan said addressing the Speaker.
Mr Gul agreed to the proposal and said the JSC would be set up with the direction to report during the next session. The Speaker would nominate members of the JSC.
