JSSJ celebrates ‘Dogra Fest’

JAMMU, Feb 23: Pre Primary wing of Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu (JSSJ) organized ‘Dogri Fest-Duggar Dhani’ with great fervor and gaiety.
Ankita Kar, member of prestigious Indian Railway Account Services (IRAS), presently serving as Additional Commissioner, State Taxes as well as holding an additional charge of Managing Director, Jammu/Srinagar Mass Rapid Transit Corporation was the chief guest of the event, while Dr Neelam Sarin, an eminent writer and Member of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board was the guest of honour.
Sonakshi Anand- Director Operations, JSSJ, Harleen Anand Director Operations JSSK and all area heads were present on the occasion.
The event began with offering player and floating candles as a token of abundance and luck by the guests of today’s event, followed by series of cultural programmes like melodious Dogri song, Dogri dance, fancy dress show depicting Dogra culture by the students and mesmerizing dance performance by pre primary teachers and dance competition for the parents were organized.
Monika Wazir, HoD Dance Department and Saba dance teacher were invited to judge the competition.
The main attraction of the event was the decoration and authentic traditional Dogra food which was prepared by school supporting staff. The main idea behind this is to inculcate experiential learning and developing entrepreneurial skills among the students.
Principal cum vice chairperson Rohini Aima appreciated the efforts put in by the team especially the students, while Principal Kindergarten Nidhi Kohli presented the formal vote of thanks.
Meenakshi Puri and Isha Bandral along with pre primary students hosted the event.
