JTC, SKF continue protest

JAMMU, Aug 27: Continuing their protest at Jagti for 329th day today, the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) today accused the Government of maintaining a stoic silence on the demands of the displaced Pandits.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita president JTC and SKF said the displaced Pandits especially relief holders are meeting complete injustice through the hands of Government.
He demanded immediate enhancement of cash relief to Rs 25,000 per family besides settlement of other demands including a job package of Rs 20,000 new jobs with 5000 class fourth posts, release of compensation for damaged properties over the turmoil period, loans to over aged youth of the community and rehabilitation of community in three satellite townships in Valley.
Among others present were Raj Kumar Tickoo, Ravinder Koul, M L Razdan, Rakesh Tickoo, Kamal Ji Pandita, Shuban Ji Raina, Rakesh Ambardar, Vinod Moza, Charanjeet Singh, Kashi Nath Bhat, etc.
