JAMMU, Feb 5: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee, Soan Kashmir Front J&K and PCC Migrant cell J&K held at Jagti Township under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita and co-convener of PCC Migrant Cell J&K discussed various problems confronted to displaced people.
Shadi Lal Pandita slammed the BJP Government particularly the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman for ignoring the migrants in her budget speech as no money has been earmarked for their rehabilitation in it.
He said that all the Kashmiri Pandits were watching the news channels with high expectation to get some big relief in the budget and they had expected that Government will earmark special funds for their permanent rehabilitation, enhancement of monthly cash relief from 13000 to 25000, announcement of new 10,000 posts for Kashmiri Pandits youth in all departments, creation of 3000 Class VI posts, compensation of damaged losses of property at one crore per family, on spot recruitment drive in Police Department in migrant camps etc. But there was no mention of the same, he added.
