JTC, SKF hold protest at Jagti

JAMMU, Oct 29: A protest was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) today in Jagti township under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita against the UT Government which has announced that the Government will give land to Kashmiri Pandits on concession rates in the Valley.
Pandit said that the BJP Government has failed to protect the rights of the Kashmiri Pandits and return their land and property to them in Kashmir.
Pandita said that the BJP has used the Pandits all over the country and it came into the Government by doing politics on the dead bodies of the Kashmiri Pandits but not a single thing has been done for the Kashmiri Pandits welfare and the community has been deceived by the party.
Pandita warned the Government to fulfill the demands of the Kashmiri Pandits as soon as possible.
He demanded rehabilitation of Pandits in three townships in Kashmir in erstwhile three districts of Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla, besides restoration of their encroached property and land including that the land of shrines and temples. He said a recruitment drive be launched in the paramilitary and police forces for the community youth, reservation of five seats in Assembly and two in Parliament and announcement of a new job package for unemployed youth as well as relief to over-aged youth for establishing their own business establishments under various self employment schemes.
