JAMMU, Dec 21: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held here, today under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita here, today.
Pandita, while addressing the meeting expressed his dismay over the plight of displaced Pandits saying that in last over 30 years the successive Governments have failed to frame a proper return and rehabilitation policy for the displaced people.
He demanded permanent rehabilitation of displaced KPs in Valley at safe and secure places, political reservation for the community, compensation for damaged losses of property , removal of encroachments from religious places in Valley and other migrants immovable property, release of pending exgratia relief, launching of on spot recruitment drive in Police Department, recruitment of migrant youth who could not complete their education on Class Fourth posts, implementation of PM’s employment package, enhancement of monthly cash relief and declaration of Kashmiri Pandit as a minority community.
