JTC, SKF to continue protest till settlement of demands

JAMMU, Nov 13: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) which is protesting at Jagti for last 43 days held a dharna near Lane No 7 in Jagti township under the leadership of its president , Shadi Lal Pandita in support of their demands today.
Addressing the protestors Pandita said that the agitation will continue till demands are settled and the JTC and SKF will not budge an inch from their stand over the issues concerning the displaced people from Valley.
He, while reiterating the demand regarding increase in the monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family termed it a genuine demand as the displaced people are unable to keep their body and soul together in these hard economic days. Pandita also demanded 20,000 job package with 5000 class fourth jobs and the same be provided to those displaced families which have no serving Government employee in them. He said the unemployed displaced youth are totally desperate as they see their future totally bleak.
Raj Kumar Tickoo unit president and Rakesh Ambardar demanded bank loans for over aged displaced youth so that they cans et up their business ventures. They also demanded free ration for pensioners and construction of three townships in erstwhile three districts of Baramulla, Srinagar and Anatnag for rehabilitation of displaced people.
