JTC’s concern over 18 hour power cut

JAMMU, May 2: A joint meeting of the JTC and Nove Soan Kashmir Front held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita its president discussed various problems being faced by the inmates of Jagti camp.
As per a release, the meeting expressed concern over prolonged power curtailments in Jagti migrant camp which has adversely affected the people living in the camp especially the student community as well as patients suffering from various ailments.
Moreover the street lights also remain off during the night hours in the camp which has resulted into fear psychosis among the people, it added.
Shadi Lal Pandita termed the 18 hour power cut a deliberate attempt of the Government to harass the camp inmates. The meeting in an appeal to Prime Minister of India has sought his intervention in the matter.
